Microblading is feather cuts made into the skin using a handheld tool which implants pigment into the skin manually, simulating individual eyebrow hairs. Everybody has a different pain threshold, so some will find that there is no pain at all while others find it more uncomfortable. You are able to use numbing cream before the procedure to ensure your comfort. having done the procedure myself a number of times i would consider threading and plucking brows more painful than eyebrow tattoo.
Whilst booking online you will be guided to a medical questionaire that you must complete to ensure that permanent make up is safe for you and that you are a good candidate. You will be sent confirmation of your appointment via email. On the day of the appointment we will start with cleaning your brows and pencilling on the best shape to frame your face and bone structure this takes around 30-45 min. Once we both agree on the shape we begin the tattoo, you will be laying down flat on your back on a comfy beauty couch, the procedure takes around 60 - 90 minutes . Once finished you will be given an after care pack and instructions to follow. You will pre-book your free perfection visit appointment for 6-8 weeks later. At the perfection visit we look for any gaps or fading that needs to be touched up, this appointment takes around 60min and your brows will be Perfected.
In some cases cosmetic tattooing is not an option for example, pregnant/breast feeding woman, blood thinning conditions, type 1 diabetes, epilepsy, major heart condition, auto immune disease, extreme skin conditions, keloids, chemo, radiotherapy ... this will all be convered during the medical questionnaire.Depending on your skin type we will recommend which eyebrow treatment will be most suitable for you.
Not always , in some cases the previous tattoo may be totally the incorrect shape or very saturated with pigment meaning that you will need to undergo removal before I can work on your brows. We can recommend either laser removal or saline removal. If you have previous work you need corrected or covered you will need to send me a clear daylight close up picture for me to determine whether your brows are fixable or need removal. if we are able to work on your brows you may sometimes need more than one session to complete the procedure.
Not always, scars are tricky as we dont always know how they are going to respond and heal after the treatment, therefor no guarantee can be given that the scarred area will heal exactly the same as the rest of the eyebrow.
Pre and after care instrucions will be given please scroll down for further info. You will embark on the healing process which can be a bit of an emotional rollercoaster which is totally normal. The healing chart gives you an approximate timescale of the process which will reassure you. Day 7 after the first procedure is when you will normally start flaking and scabbing, so if you have a special event or occasion to attend it would be advisable to book a date that doesn’t clash with your important date.
